Malamulele Presbytery

The Malamulele Presbytery is located in the Collins Chabane Local Municipality which is in the Vhembe District of the Limpopo Province. Formerly known as Soutpanberg East, the Malamulele Presbytery was formed in 1994. The first Presbytery Chairperson was Reverend Khosa MW, who played a very crucial role in the growth and development of the presbytery, especially in its forming phase.

The presbytery mainly consists of Xitsonga speaking congregants around Malamulele and partly Giyani, which is in Mopani District (Nkuri villages). Some of its members are Venda speaking people who reside in Collins Chabane Local Municipality. The Presbytery has bought a site of three (3) hectares at Shigalo village, and the site is earmarked for community and economic projects.

The Malamulele Presbytery has seven (7) parishes, namely, Malamulele, Shingwedzi, Nsami, Ntlhaveni, Tlangelani, Mhinga and Shikundu. It has 2155 members who are mainly adult female, males, youth and children, The presbytery aims to positively impact all communities in which it exists through evangelism, outreach programmes, and community empowerment projects.
