Letaba Presbytery

Letaba Presbytery was born out of the Selati Presbytery which was demarcated into Letaba and Lowveld Presbyteries. The first congregation was founded in 1983 at Nkowankowa, and they worshiped at Dududu Primary school. The Synod held in Soshanguve in 1983 officially endorsed and accepted the new demarcation of the Selati Presbytery into multiple presbyteries. The Letaba Presbytery initially consisted of 4 Parishes, namely, Shiluvana, N`wamitwa, Nkowankowa and Phalaborwa. The Presbytery has grown over the years, and it now consists of 6 Parishes. 5 of the parishes are located within the Greater Tzaneen Municipality, and 1 within the Ba- Phalaborwa Municipality. Letaba Presbytery is situated in the Mopani District Municipality in the Limpopo Province.
